Is there a way to assign a ring tone or sound to a specific person when they text you?

Yes, you can. First you have to create a new Profile for that person, and then an Exception Profile. You can follow these steps:

Setting up the profile/exception worked fine except that it doesn't change with the selected profile. If I set this up in Normal profile and then switch to Vibrate, the exception profile will still play a ringtone. The device-generated exceptions for personalized ringtones follow the selected profile. Is there any way to have the custom exceptions do that other than to turn them on or off whenever you switch profiles?
