Hi,

I'm new here and am unsure if this is the right place for this so please move if necessary.

We started seeing an odd issue with a few or our BB users today and it does not affect all of them. They are able to receive emails on their Blackberrys but cannot send.

We are running Exchange 2003 with a BES, we have multiple carries including Rogers, Verizon and AT&T and multiple models including 8800's, 8310's, and pearls.

Please let me know if you have any ideas, thank you.

Do the users receive a red X when sending? If so, have then open the red X message and scroll up. What is the 'message status' field show?

I have not verified with other users but on mine it says "Desktop Email program unable to submit message"

That could be a few things. My money is on permissions. Check out this KB article:

Thank you for your assistance. After going through those I have come to the same conclusion that it is the permissions. It looks like I will have to get out exchange guys to look at it.

I was having this problem with my corporate email. They had me delete the cmime file for that account and they sent a new one. Happened a couple times, so I had to redo it, but it seems to be working now.

If you are on a BES you can contact blackberry tech support directly with your support code or you can contact your wireless phone providers tech support. They may be able to help.
