Default I know this is a stupid question, but...

Please Login to Remove!

I am so new to the Blackberry so please bear with me. How do I know what operating system is on my phone? I did check the FAQs and could not find what I was looking for (maybe I just didn't really know what I was looking for).

It states V4.3).127 (platform 3.1.0.72). Is this microsoft. I want to download a program to my BB and it is asking me what OS to download. Specifically, I want to download Limewire Pro, is this possible to even do? Thanks in advance.

before you start using blackberry P2P programs on your blackberry, check what data subscription you have, unless you want to have a 1000$ bill at the end of the month offcourse...

No it's Blackbery's operating system version 4.3.x.xx As far as Limewire... I'm clueless... My BB doesn't do music or multi-media.... Hit the search button on the tool bar and do a quick search....

What is a Blackberry P2P program? I am really clueless to this lingo. I do have unlimited internet, email, etc., so data usage isn't a problem for me.

Yikes -- definitely not. The fact that BB's don't run WM is why I picked them (better stability/reliability in my experiences).

Read Limewire's (or any software that you're considering) requirements. Among them are the supported OS's:
Quote:
Win95,Win98,WinME,WinNT 3.x,WinNT 4.x,Windows2000,WinXP,Windows2003
None of these are mobile device OS's.

Huh? Limewire is a P2P program. A Blackberry P2P program would be something similar to Limewire that runs on a BB.

Be sure to read the fine print. "Unlimited" means 5GB on many carriers -- not so good for P2P.

I think P2P is peer to peer.... file sharing kind of thingy? Might be easier to use Limewire on your PC and then download the music to your BB... kind of like an mp3 player? Since I got my Sirius Satelite radio I rarely ever listen to music online any more....
