Default blackberry and outlook

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I am a computer consultant, and I have a client who has a Microsoft exchange account through a mail service provider called Sherweb. Originally, she only accessed this email account through outlook 2007 on her PC and all was well. then she purchased a blackberry curve and data plan through Verizon that allows her to sync her email/contacts/calendar between her blackberry and her outlook/exchange account. as soon as she did that, ALL new email coming into outlook on her PC shows up as read. Is there anything we can do so new email arriving under Outlook on her PC shows up as unread?

please let me know if this post would be more appropriate in another forum.

thanks.

Is she syncronizing using the usb cable or wirelessly? Mine is set to wireless through our outlook exchange server..... I know if I open an email on my BB, it will show up as read on my PC but if I didn't open it up on my BB then it shows up as unread on my PC...

I couldn't find anything in Email Setting in the BB Desktop Software what would apply.... Maybe in Syncronize - Configuration - Syncronize Moves and Deletes.... Mine is set to Mailbox Wins... I doubt if that would effect being marked as read or not...

I checked Outlook and can't find a setting for that either....

Might be a setting on Sherweb's end?

Sounds like a setting through the mail service provider since they are basically sending the mail to both PC and BB at the same time.... I know I can not access any of those settings locally.... I only have the ability to turn the redirect on or off...

By wirelessly do you mean BES?

So all mail, regardless of whether it is marked as read on the BB or not is marked as read in Outlook?
