I have a Pearl 8120 with Tmobile. For the last 2 days every action on my device has been slow going. The hourglass pops up every time and even hanging up from a call causes it - and it takes 30 seconds to get a "disconnected" reply. I'm assuming this is a data transfer problem. Any thoughts on what I can do to fix it? Thanks!

How do you find out what is taking up all of the space on your device?? My "file free" is 0 bytes and I can't figure out why.

May be you are running out of memory. Check Options->Status->File Free.

If too small, pull the battery out, wait for few seconds and put it back in.

you should try a battery pull first and see if that changes it. Its possible you could have a memory leak as well.

Take the battery out and then put it back in IMMEDIATELY.
See how much free space is available now.

It won't work for long if you don't manage your memory.

Some of the things I do to prevent the slow running hour glass: clear the browser history,delete opened email as well as saved emails in my message inbox, keep the battery charged and a memmory clean. Hope that helps.
