Default One way Sync from Outlook to BB

Please Login to Remove!

Hi:
I have a 8830. I am new to BB. I am using Desktop Manager to sync office Outlook to the BB. I only want a one-way sync of my calendar from Outlook to the BB. Would you tell me how this is accomplished? [I am rather surprised this is not described in either the device or Desktop Manager User Guide, assuming it is possible].
Thanks in advance.
Tom

Welcome to the forums.

This is in sync options. Where exactly depends on which version of Desktop Manager. I'm guessing DM 4.3? You configure each PIM application separately. Go into the sync settings for calendar and you can do a "refresh" of the data. That should overwrite the data on the BB with what's in Outlook. Personally, before doing any of this kind of stuff I make a backup of my Outlook data AND the data on my BB. Then I begin the syncs.

I have 4.2.2. I confess up front to being a newbie idiot when it comes to this device and as such, your advise made no sense to me. "Overwrite data of the BB with what's in the handheld"? The BB IS my handheld. So confused!! Can someone just direct me to what options I would select in Desktop Manager to accomplish one-way calendar sync from Outlook to the BB?
Thanks

Also, there is a help feature in Desktop Manager that will tell you how to do this.
