Default Most Emails just disappeared!

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8320 (BES), been using it for months. Today I woke up and noticed most of my emails are gone. There are still a few there and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to which ones are left they range in date and sender and folder. I seem to be getting new emails fine.

So first off, anyone have an idea what happened?

Second, how can I force a resynch with my exchange server so all my recent email shows up?

Thanks.

My guess is that you have run out of memory, and that those emails are gone. This is a common problem with memory leaks. While the BB is on, pull the battery, wait 30 seconds, and return the battery. You might want to go into Options->Status both before and after to check the free memory.

Do you use a memory card?
Do you use the application switcher often while on the phone?

Go to this link after you're up and running again to learn all about memory-related issues.

I was out of memory, restarted and am good now, but the older emails haven't come back... can I do anything to get them?

If you're on BES there is a chance your admins can get them back. If you're on BIS then they're gone.

Best bet is to make sure it doesn't happen again in the future, so monitor your free memory.
