I had not really thought about this until it was brought to my attention by a customer yesterday.

Say you are dialing a 800 number with a name or some sort of vanity in it. For example 1-866-CINGULAR. how would a blackberry go about dialing the digits that compose the word cingular? The number pad doesnt have the corresponding 3 letters per key like that of a normal phone.

Intersting thought, anyone have any suggestions or input?

All you have to do is hold the and the letters that you want at the same time...

What about once your in a call and you need to, for example, spell out a person's last name to be directed to their extension? Holding down the tab key doesn't seem to work.
