Default AT&T Navigator and Telenav both installed

Please Login to Remove!

Hi Folks,

My company recently wiped and re-installed everything on my 8310 ATT Curve as part of a BES Server update. When they did this, AT&T Navigator was installed in addition to my Telenav app. I only use Telenav.

Would I be safe in removing the ATT Navigator? I don't want to do anything that would jeopardize the use of Telenav, as I need this for daily use.

Any advice would be appreciated.......Thanks in advance~

Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut)

The ATT app is only a rebranded version of TeleNav and a slightly different version of TN.
You should be safe removing it, IF is actually installed. You might have gotten the installer icon.

Also telenav has a forum you can access through their website. They might be able to answer that as well.

The AT&T branded product is a more advanced version of the Telenav branded product - confirm that it doesn't cost you anything extra and I woulod suggest keeping the AT&T Navigator.

I actually like the ATT version better, however, I know two users who like the TN version better.

FWIW, A couple months ago I was able to have both products on my device at the same time however, now when I try to download and install Telenav, it prompts to replace a component of ATT Nav. Essentially, this uninstalls ATT Nav in favor of Telenav. Thus I suspect you may not in fact have both on there, but the installer icon for the other one as was previously suggested.
