Angry ARRRRGHG!!! Why can't I find a .WAV to .ADP Converter?!!?

Please Login to Remove!

I've been trying to create .ADP ringtones for my 7100g (cingular, no BES). The instructions in the Stickie thread on the 7100 are good, but they reference an audio editer embeded in Phillips Mobile Phone Tools, a program that does not seem to be functional unless you have a phillips phone connected to your PC!

So My question is, is there another program out there that lets you convert WAV files to the ADP format that is usable on the BB 7100 for ringtones??

Thanks in advance!

Mobile Phone Tools (Philips branding) does not require a Philips phone. Just run the following file (variable on where you installed the application, of course):

C:\Program Files\mobile PhoneTools\MMCenter.exe

If it prompts you about connecting whatever, just cancel it (as the instructions state in the thread).

Unhappy

I get the same error - it won't recognize any wavs (or other audio files) after I browse to the folder.

There is a thread on this topic on the Ringtones, Themes and Wallpapers forum.

Hope this helps.

If you can get a copy of it (sorry I no longer have it or a link, maybe a google will find it) Motorola's version of Mobile Phone Tools doesn't seem to have the quirks that the Phillips version does. You still have to contend with a handful of "phone not connected", etc messages but, once in to mmedia it works fine, plus there are a few more options/programs in it. I used it for my 7105t and no probs as well as my child bride's Razr.
