Default Blackberry bluetooth keyboard: what's the verdict?

Please Login to Remove!

Look friends, I did a search for this and found so many conflicting reports over the last few months, I thought to start a new thread. I apologize for the redundancy.

I have a 7290. I want a keyboard. I don't care that it's bluetooth, but that would be nice.

So, what should I buy?

I'm not aware of any non-Bluetooth keyboards for the 7290.

I own both the Freedom Input and MyMobileGear/Xema keyboards, and it's a toss-up as to which is better. The keyboards themselves are identical, so it comes down to which driver you prefer. You can search the threads here for info on the drivers and their differing keyboard configurations. This thread is a good start: Bluetooth Keyboard Owners: Please Read This.

Good luck with your purchase.

*PERSONAL OPINION*
I have one of the BT keyboards and I think they are awful.
Terrible tactile feedback. Lousy key placements. Buggy software.

Besides that....

In the box of unused technology in my office.

I agree with NJBB. I have the Freedom model and find it pointless. Great paperweight.
