Dear buddies,

I am new to RIM BB. I've got a BB5820 and have tried to install some softwares that stated "for all BB platform" or "for BB5820". However, it could not be loaded on my RIM.

I am using the 3.6 and 4.0 destop softwares. Could anyone explain whether softwares can be installed on this model and if the destop application versions I am using are appropriate (I bought this as ex-demo and they deliver the destop softwares version 3.2 with the BB. However, when I install this, the PC reports a failure notification).

Wow that is a tough one are you sure its not windows xtra problems giving you this message?

Havtou tried upgradind the desktop warz as well as the handheld warez?

I have installed the 3.2 Destop Manager Softwares on 2 other PCs and received the same error notification. So I guess the problem is the desktop warez itself.

BTW, I read on this forum that the latest softwares for 5820 is ver.3.6 --> is this one the handheld warez (like ROM in PPC) or the Desktop Mgm't warez.

Also, is this ok if I use the Desktop warez of 3.6 (BlackBerry_DesktopSoftware_V3.6_3629dt-csl.exe) and 4.0 while the handheld warez is the original one.

(I am new to RIM BB so my question may be silly - I am using PPC and just turned to RIM)

Could anyone help on this?
