Default Editing the default handheld core software packages???

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

For reasons of security measures, I need to remove the following components from the software load on all my BlackBerry handhelds:

WTLS Security Package
SSL/TLS Security Package
JavaScript Package
S/MIME Support Package
PGP Support Package

From guidance I have, the following is suggested:

The Software loads for handhelds can be configured using the Blackberry
Handheld Configuration Tool. A software load consists of the core Handheld
Software, plus optional third-party applications.

I can't, however, find any way of removing these packages using this tool?

Any help much appreciated!

Cheers,

Con

Wirelessly posted (8100 Pearl)

S/Mime support files I believe is an option you can check or uncheck from the DM app loader. The others I don't know.
You could try going into the applications area on your BB and bring up the individual modules and try to delete them from there. I would be a little careful. This might brick the whole thing!
