alright, i just got 7520 and the recent calls show up as just numbers not the contacts even when they are stored in my address book, is this normal or what?

Just ask them to re-provision the service and all will be fine.

I know this was an issue in pre-4.x versions but if you are running 4.0 on the device then it should display the phone number with home, mobile and all the details.
