My company has Outlook running with Exchange server, but we are small and dont have a Blackberry Exchange Server, so I use the mail redirector.

It works fine in that I get my corporate email forwarded to my Blackberry. Problem is that when I delete messages on my handheld, it deosn't delete them in my Outlook and vice versa.
I am using a 6230 on t-mobile.

adding to the above - basically I have a gmail account and a corporate work account. I just want to get them both working in the most efficient way.

I might be incorrect, but I don't believe the Desktop Redirector has the ability to reconcile deleted messages. That's functionality you would get with the BES.

teddyb is correct.

with Redirector, there is NO wireless reconciliation.

the way you can reconcile your email is to perform a cable sync with your PC via the Desktop manager (go into intellisync > reconcile email)

perform the sync and voila, your filed email will move and the messages that were read will show as read in outlook or vice versa.

if you want wireless reconciliation, you need a BES
