Default Email Background Stripes? - 08-27-2008, 08:53 PM

I was on the Metro today, and saw a BlackBerry user flipping through his emails. I couldn't help but notice that the background of every single email was a wide diagonal stripe. I beleive the 2 tones were white/orange and white/green. It was pretty cool! Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Wirelessly posted (Breaking Ball)

It's a security setting for BES users.

Options - security options - general settings - message background colors

And it is utterly obnoxious. The 8700 under OS 4.2 has that feature. I turned it on once just to check it out and turned it right back off. There has to be a more pleasent way to do that.

I have found that the yellow/white combo is the least obnoxious. I use it so I know when I am sending or receiving a BES message. It keeps me from sending an email from my company email when I want to send from my personal address.

I guess there is no way to get this feature on BIS?

I think that RIM should consider making this a little less ugly. Maybe just a colored background when using BES...I have this off as well

OS 4.6 on my Bold uses a border instead of the striped background.
