Default 7100 series

Please Login to Remove!

If I buy an unlocked phone in the 7100 series (7100t, 7100g, etc) can I take my sims card out of my 7520 (nextel) and put it in the unlocked 7100 and use the phone oversees. Just want to use this phone for oversee use.

Actually.... I think you can, someone on here or hofo was explaining they use unlocked 7290's overseas when traveling for their company. So I think it will work man, but I would like to someone else to confirm this first before you go out buying a new BB.

No, the NEXTEL and MiKE BlackBerry use SIM's but the iDEN SIM are somewhat different from other GSM networks. You will need to purchase a SIM from which ever carrier you choose to use the unlocked 7100 with.

Thanks for the info. Just thought that i would be able to use the unlocked 7100 with the Nextel Sim's card.

Then how does a person take a v551 overseas with a nextel sim card in it?
