Default Curve 8330 email icons

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a new Sprint Curve 8330 and started setting it up today. I think it is a great device but I'm new to this and getting hung up here and there on small details...

I added three email addresses successfully and that went fine overall, (two are standard pop accounts and one is a blackberry address) but here's the small annoyance:

One address has a different icon that has a Y! (like for Yahoo), only this is not a Yahoo address. It shouldn't bug me so, but I have no idea what I may have done to select some alternative icon, nor any clue how to change it. There must be a setting for that, right?

Suggestions?

Weird.....the only reason the Y! should be sowing up for a e-mail client is if its a Yahoo account.Id say try deleting it and then re-adding it . Perhaps something got screwed up in the process..Because its not an option,@carrier.blackberry.net/Gmail/personal web page email accounts all have the same icon and yahoo is the only one I know of with its own icon. Keep us posted and Im sure someone can help you.......................WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!!!!!!!

Default No Change

Guess I'll add this to the stack of unknowns in life. If I delete the account and check, it indeed goes away and the other icons look unchanged for the other accounts. Yet if I add this one back, it comes back with a "Y!" logo. The account is a typical pop account which is "@bellsouth.net"...

I won't loose sleep over it but if anyone has experienced this or has a suggestion, your ideas are welcome.

If I am not mistaken Bellsouth.net is a Yahoo mail account. All my stuff went to Yahoo stuff when I had Pacbell and they became SBC Yahoo. I would imagine it has something to do with that. Just my guess.

That's interesting. I've had that ISP & email for a good 5 or 6 years and that's the first I've heard of it, but you may indeed be right...

I was going to drop the issue but I have a new problem-- I recreated the account last night and I did get one email this morning on that account-- about 4 hours ago but since then only the other accounts are showing new mail while I'm seeing numerous emails to the recreated account show up on the computer.

I've tried to reconcile the account-- no response. I'm guessing the deletion and recreatin of the account may have botched something up but that is indeed just a guess...
