Sure is, but only basic AIM capabilities - still prefer JiveTalk.

I know Dawg.... just saying I like JT better. Good to see VZW finally support AIM.

I downloaded AIM for VZW on my 8703e - OS 4.2 - and I can't find a way to show buddy icons. According to AOL Mobile's blackberry page:

View Buddy Icons
Express yourself and view your buddies AIM Expressions® features. Set a buddy icon that shows your buddies who you are and what's going in your world. View your buddies icon to check out their visual expressions.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

I was also trying to figure that one out.

KB15707 from the BB support site give some additional information:

Avatar display - View the avatar of a contact in the Conversation and Conference screens

But I don't see any buddy icons in those screens either.

Here's another observation on AIM 2.1.32

When logged in on the BB, your buddy icon is reflected as Mobile (small mobile phone). So others do not see the buddy icon you have set in AIM. In JiveTalk it does.
