Do you know a way to increase the ring on the blackberry 7250- Maybe I am getting hard of hearing but when it is in the holster I find it hard to hear and miss alot of calls!!

It's also worth pointing out that there are separate ringtone volume settings for "In Holster" and "Out of Holster." Be sure you have the volume set to "High" for both in your default profile.

Try this one.

I've taken Jim Vaughan's Three-Second Ring 101 96 ringtone and filled it out to seven seconds. And just so we don't tune it out, I've added a chromatic up-and-down movement to the middle. The volume for each note is set to 127, which is as loud as a MIDI note can go. The notes in Jim's ringtone are also set to 127, so this one isn't louder. It is more than twice as long, and the up-and-down movement makes it a bit harder to ignore.

This ringtone is kind of obnoxious, so it may work better as a tone for the built-in alarm clock.

As the blackberry was designed for business applications and is not convenient to be ringing loudly during meetings, etc. it has unfortunately limited sound ability on most models...But hopefully as now more individuals are buying BB's the market for polyphonic and louder ringtones will increase and RIM will develop more individual-friendly blackberries.

That's an insulting approach to product development. What that means is: "We assume that users of our device won't be smart enough to master the use of profiles, so we'll babysit them."

If my phone rings in a meeting, I get a few loks of annoyance. If I continually miss calls from my boss b/c I can't hear the ringer, I look like a slacker. I'd prefer the first option, personally.

Vibrate mode will help also, especially when in meetings

mine stays on vibrate 90% of the time due to it being holstered I only have tones set for when its out of the holster

For those who do not have the web service, is there any way to save on PC, then add to BB via sync?

None that I'm aware of. Saving a MIDI file to a PC is easy. Getting it into a BlackBerry is the challenge.

Has anyone tried to do this with eFile?

I have a 7290 and my volume issue is mainly with the audio during a call. the ringer is low but I use vibrate almost always. But the volume is so low, I can't really use it as a phone. If I use a bluetooth headset things are better, but I dont always have a headset handy.

Anybody else seeing this?
