Cool Blackberry on PAYG in UK

Please Login to Remove!

I have just been advised that here in the UK you can only get Internat access on a Blackberry if you have a contract and not if you are using Pay as You Go.

Is this correct?

I am testing some new software on my 8800 but don't want to use my contract Vodafone SIM. so I got a couple of PAYG sims. Voice and SMS no problem but what ever APN I set up there is no Internet connectivity so no mapping.

Any suggestions?

To the best of my knowledge, that is correct. I am not aware of any PAYG BB data plans.

Not strictly a PAYG but, i was using T-Mobile's sim only deal @7.50/month and I enabled BlackBerry on that and you are on a rolling months contract so you can cancel anytime giving 30 days notice!

Now that is much more like it. These products have to go out to Journalists and I don't want to give them free calls for the rest of their lives.

Once we have our product loaded, even if they change the SIM we can remove the data and keep resetting the phone until the give it back.

Thanks
