I have a 8310 curve, as a replacement to a user who lost his.
sent a wipe handheld command to the device and it shows "NO PIN" on the bes console.
i now try activation by using the "set activation password" method
Tried activating a replacement phone and it just sits there activating and then after about 30 mins times out.
Tried deleted the user off the bes and removing the BB information.
tried re-activation still fails and times out.
I checked the users mailbox and he receives the activation e-mail from blackberry and it also shortly after disappears as it is supposed to.
I have checked the Sim is data enabled by putting it into an already registered device, also when I put a known working sim to activate the device it too fails.
We are connected to the North America RIM servers, has anybody any ideas or is there a problem over there ?
