Default MediaNet vs. Blackberry Browser

I am sure this has been discussed, but hoping to get the short answer:

Should I be using MediaNet or BB Browser for general web access? MediaNet seems to work OK, but sometimes it seems to take forever for pages to load when it shouldnt (not a coverage issue)

Are there recommended settings over defaults that I should check? Again - general browsing with some web form entry (login to american airlines, ebay, etc.)
