Please Login to Remove!

hello. i just got a blackberry 7290 for nextel, and i am disappointed. or maybe..because i simply do not know how to use it. before i had the blackberry, i was using an i860. and i would browse the internet with it. and i could see things in amazing color, and even see pictures. now i am using a blackberry to surf the web, and everything is black and white words. no pics, no nothing. this is a color screen blackberry though. is blackberry like this? or do i need a new blackberry internet browser or something? thanks.

Actually, if you got it from Nextel it is either a 6510, 7510, or a 7520. Providing it is a 7520 with the newest version of the software, you'll be looking for the Internet Browser icon (a globe with 3 people next to it). Click on it, click the track wheel another time after it opens, and click Options. Go to browser config and check off everything you see there.

If you have a 6510 or a 7510 you will have to use the text-only NOL browser...but if you don't have the Internet Browser and have a 7520 you will need to go to Options>host Routing Table>click the trackwheel and click Register Now. If that doesn't work you will need to ensure you have the operating system version or higher (go to Options>about to find out.

If you don't have or higher, you can download the newest version from, which also gives you a blackberry messenger and the ability to copy some SIM cards over from i-series phones and upload the contacts.
