Default Cbeyond & GPS

My company is thinking of switching from verizon service to CBeyond service, which we are told uses sprint and verizon networks together. Sounds odd to me, but okay.

I currently have a curve, but the best CBeyond offers is an 8830. I hate that I will lose the camera but what can I do?

Does anyone use CBeyond and does GPS work on their phones? I know verizon kills the GPS unless you use their gps service (additional charges of course).

Thanks.
