Default Not getting all of my Gmail messages

Please Login to Remove!

I noticed yesterday that I wasn't getting all of my gmail messages. I tried re-sending the service books and upgrading the OS to no avail. I get most, but a few from yesterday never showed up and the same thing happened this morning.

I have a filter set up to prevent receiving sent gmail messages so I wonder if that's causing the problem.

Blackberry 8120, 4.5.0.55, BIS, T-Mobile

Thanks.

No problems here. Have both IMAP and POP accounts on gmail. You might want to remove and recreate the account in the BIS.

i found that if i have IMAP enabled and have things set to autoarchive into labels than i don't receive them. i only see things that stay in the inbox... but this sounds like you've been receiving them and then suddenly stopped receiving them?

I tried removing and re-adding the account and I'm having the same problem. I don't have IMAP enabled and none of the test e-mails I send have labels associated with them.

Is there any rhyme or reason to the missing mails ? In other words, do they have any similarities in where they come from or how they were sent ?

Are these mails forwarded from another account ?

I had a similar problem a while back and IIRC, it had something to do with having multiple accounts associated with my gmail account..

I fixed my problem by stripping down all my accounts so that there was no forwarding to other accounts. I also made sure my accounts couldn't send mail on behalf of another address.. I basically stripped them all down to bare essentials.

That fixed it for me. It's a super tough bug to nail down and my problem may be completely different from yours. But I think the best strategy is to just go as simple as possible in your setup and see what happens.

Good Luck!

J

I had the same problem yesterday. Was using POP. Gave me an excuse to change over to IMAP, just to see if that helped. My other IMAP mail account and Yahoo were working fine, so I guess it may have been a Google problem.

My gmail isn't being forwarded and there's not a lot of rhyme or reason except that now it seems that I'm not getting any of my gmail. It all gets delivered to Outlook and the gmail application I downloaded, so I'm at a loss. I have a filter set up for the gmail account not to deliver from [email address], but I tried taking that filter off and it does the same thing.

I'm going to try T-Mobile support.

Just sent a test message from my work email to my gmail account. Instantaneous delivery with IMAP.

Check your Outlook settings in advanced settings and make sure you have it set to leave a copy on the server.

Sorry I dont have a specific answer to your question, but how do you set the auto filter to avoid getting the sent message?

Sorry about the late response. After using the Gmail application for a few days, I finally called T-Mobile. They reset my account on their system and reset the PIN on BlackBerry's system -- at least that's what they told me. Everything seems to be working fine.
