Post Deleting appointments when synching with BES and different Outlook Desktop

I'm trying to find out what the different ways are for items to be deleted from the Outlook Calendar.

I have a Blackberry setup to wirelessly synch with the BES and I also occasionally turn off the Calendar Wireless synch and then synch it with a different version of Outlook, all with no problem. However, when I resynch wirelessly, the BES always puts back deleted appointments from the other version of Outlook but accepts any deletions from the handheld.

Can anyone tell me what is different between the two deletion methods?

If it doesn't make sense then I will try and clarify
