Default Upgrading...feedback on models

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys, I'm really thinking about upgrading from my 8300 curve, I just can't decide which model to consider, I really like the curve because of its style and the keyboard and all of the things I can do to it, but I really just don't know, so I was hoping for some feedback, should I upgrade or stay with my curve? If I do upgrade, which model will be the best? I'd also like to take into consideration things like - Will I be able to add games/themes to it easily? Are there OS upgrades that will let me get the most out of the phone? Like having 4.5 on my curve lets me use videos? - So if you guys have any feedback, it's well appreciated.

If I were an AT&T customer right now, I'd hold out for the Bold.

Wirelessly posted

I vote curve. I switched out from the 8830 because it was just too big, and the Bold is even bigger. Would love to have the Bold's memory and functionality in the curve form factor. Well, and the bold won't be on verizon any time soon.

That's one thing I was considering, I noticed it was bigger, I looked at comparisons, also, the screen seems much smaller on the new bold, almost like it's widescreen, and one of the reasons I liked the curve was because of the large screen.

I'd hold for the Bold a couple weeks, play with one in a store, then decide which route to take.

The Bold screen is the same size as the curve and 8800, just higher resolution

Alright then, I'll wait for the bold, it looks nice, and I guess it was just me thinking the screen was smaller...any idea about what it should cost me with an upgrade? without?

One more thing, I was just looking at the javelin, and by it's looks, it really seems like they combined the bold's functions with the curve and gave it a big facelift...any feedback on the Javelin?

I did go through the Javelin specs ... it is 112Mhz slower than BOLD and no 3G. If anyone can live without 3G then I feel Javelin will be much better than BOLD. BOLD is just a little too big for day to day usage and it might be difficult to carry it in jeans (for casual users)
