Default AIM on an 8100 (did a search)

Please Login to Remove!

just got an 8100 and i really need AIM to work on it. I've downloaded the app, but it says "this device doesn't have this enabled" or something like that. i did a search on this site, but it was kind of confusing...so i can use a 3rd party (like google) IM app as a proxy?

so is there no way i can get just regular AIM to work on my 8100?

please forgive my ignorance, this is my first smart phone, and my previous phone (a razr from t-mo as well) ran AIM just fine
