I cannot send an email when I talking on the BB. Is there an option which I need to set? I have Cingular as my carrier.

Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question.

You can't send data at the same time you're on the phone.

This is true. You cannot be on a phone call and transmit an email at same time.
Also tried placing on hold, and transferring call and trying to senda an email. Cannot be done.
You can compose and send the email and it will cue it up but it wont transmit over the network until the call is dropped.

I tried this with blackberry.net as well as IM Plus.

hmmmm...

The BlackBerry can only have one application using the radio communications at a time. The phone requires a constant connection, no breaks, therefore no other applications get radio time while you are on a phone call.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry7290/4.0.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

Yes, I believe this is true. Voice and SMS are both GSM protocol, email and browsing use the GPRS protocol. Neither the BlackBerry nor the Network can handle simultaneous transmission of two different protocols.

Hope this helps.
