Question PIN Block

Please Login to Remove!

Stupid question I'm sure, but...

If someone has your PIN and you don't want their messages (you want to block their messages to your handheld), is there a block short of getting a new pin? It appears you can filter all kinds of email addresses, but I guess since this is PIN-to-PIN, you can't.

Could an IT policy be setup at the BES to block all PINs?

Unfortunately, the BES IT Policy used to restrict PIN messages will only affect a user's ability to send PIN messages, not to receive them.

Another possibility would be to generate a new peer-to-peer encryption key on the BES. This would restrict the ability to send PIN messages to anybody who wasn't associated with your BES, but I'm not sure if it affects the ability to receive PIN messages from non-BES users.

BES P2P encryption will not affect your ability to receive unencrypted PIN's
