I have a BB Curve and recently downloaded Yahoo!Go 3.0. I can't seem to find the answers anywhere and I wanted to know how you Sync Your contacts on the BB with Yahoo. I don't want to use Outlook. Is there a way? Thanks.

Unfortunatly, to the best of my knowledge, you can't.

My husband sync's his contacts with Yahoo, but not sure if it's Yahoo!Go. Let me find out.

In BB desktop manager, hit sinc, under the configuration, (left side), click synchronization, window to right changes, click on that synchronization BOX, let it read your BB, then click what u want to sync. say address book. click setup, highlight YAHOO, then finish the steps. that should sync bb to yahoo. Also handy to input your user name and p/w while setting it up.

Now I have a ?? is there a limit to how many contacts on yahoo that u are allowed. I can only get 49 synced. I have 149 contacts in the BB. I am not sure if it's because there is no e-mail address for the other 100 contacts or not. Just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem.

I have had a similar problem in the past, where I had to wipe the device and then restore and then sync again. The contacts that were not syncing were mostly business names. Like John's Restaurant. Where there was no first or last name, only a company name, which ultimatley originated from an old Outlook file.

I would backup both your Yahoo and your device. You can backup Yahoo by exporting a CSV file. Which ever has the complete contact list you want, I would do a one way sync and wipe out the existing contacts. Then change it back to 2-way. If that doesn't work, use Outlook as the middleman. In other words, if you are trying to get the contact from BB to Yahoo, first sync with Outlook then export a CSV, format it the way Yahoo likes and then import it. If all goes well you should be able to 2-way sync after that.

I recently posted about this same issue. I did not have an option to sync Yahoo with desktop manager 4.5. I upgraded to 4.6 and it works great. Yahoo Go did not work either... I have the 8320 with 4.5 os...
