Default GSM and BB Messenger

Please Login to Remove!

I live in the west edge of the Hurricane Ike damage area and have been having some service issues, which is understandable. Areas I usually get EDGE in I'm getting GSM in many of them.

My question is about BB Messenger. It seems to hold messages (I get the clock icon) when on GSM. Seems to do the same to my daughter on her Pearl. When I get EDGE or go to UMA the messages go. Does BB Messenger not work with GSM or is there something else going on?

Just curious.

No it requires EDGE or UMA to work. GSM is voice and text only.

It also works on 3G, well if you have a 3G phone.
