Lets say I get 12 emails over the night, they show up on the BB and in the exchange box like they should.

In the morning, if I delete them on the exchange mailbox, they will not be deleted from the handheld. However, if I delete them on the handheld, it does remove them from the mailbox as they should.

Now a new scenario, let's say it's 12:00pm and I get two emails, I delete them at 12:02pm from mailbox, they'll delete from handheld as well.


It seems like they'll only delete from the handheld, if they're not too old....


Any ideas what may be happening?

Email wireless reconcile is on, delete from both handheld & desktop is set.

Seems like that's always been an issue. The deleting of older items has always been sporadic for everyone I know.

Are you doing hard deletes on the mailbox side? If so, the BB will not reconcile those items permanatly deleted on the mailbox.

They're moved to the deleted items, but that's emptied once I close outlook, perhaps that's the issue?

If the reconcile isn't completed prior to the deleted items being deleted -- that might cause an issue. I know for our users they like to do shift+delete on e-mails, which does a permanent delete and the BB won't reconcile them. Now in the upcoming version of the BES -- they will add a user selecetable option if they would like to reconcile those deleted items. So, that type of issue will be addressed.
