Default Need Louder Ringtones For Bb 8830

Please Login to Remove!

I Bought The 8830 Thinking I Would Be Happy With It, But I Dont Think There Has Been A Day Since I Got It That I Havent Missed A Call Due To The Low Volume. I Brought It Into Verizon And The Tech Guy Told Me There Was Some Application On The Blackberry Website (something Like A Calendar Application) That Makes The Ringtones Louder-dont Ask Me, Thats What He Said. If Anyone Has Any Idea What Im Talking About..please Im Desperate..im Tired Of Missing Calls. Thanks.

hmm thats weird. the speakers on blackberrys are generally super loud. I mean my 8820 can literally wake the dead when my alarm goes off in the morning. What i would recommend doing is go into profiles>advaced>edit and verify that your current audio profile has the volume set to HIGH

yEA, THAT DOESNT WORK. ITS SOMETHING THATS WRONG WITH THE WORLD EDITION. THE TECH GUY AT THE VERIZON STORE SAID THAT EVERY WORLD EDITION IS LIKE THAT. SO IF U HAVE A DIFFERENT BLACKBERRY IT PROBABLY IS NOT HAPPENING TO YOU TOO.

well i have the 8820, which is the GSM version of your phone... now i highly doubt they have a different speaker and that ALL world edition models have an issue with the ringer..Being in the biz, there would be wide spread talk of this issue and the device wouldnt sell. This is what i would advise...

2 options

1> try something as simple as a different ring tone or sound
2> get ahold of VZW warranty department if you have had your device for less than a year you should be covered

Thats What The Guy Said. Maybe Not All World Editions Have The Problem But Alot Of Them. So You Think If I Brought The Phone In And Was Like -- Listen I Cant Hear Anything From This Phone, I Want A New One--that Would Work? And What Is Gsm ?? I Dont Know Technical Wording..

Verizon is CDMA, AT&T and T-Mobile are GSM, along with most of the world. They run on SIM cards vs. CDMA which uses an ESN (electronic serial number).
