My 8330 chirps at intervals all day long. 3 vibrates then 3 chirps. I've deleted all my Messages but it still chirps. Can someone suggest the cause a way that I can stop it ?

Its got to be on profile alerts... check SMS, Calendar, Level 1 Messages, everything.

or just put the device on phone only.

WeatherBug has its own series of alerts - they can be set for audio or visual (led). And there are a ton of them from winter storm to tsunami to tornado to amber alerts.
