Default Pearl and Updated Software

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all, I got my Pearl when it first came out. I discontinued service with ATT, and pretty much just had the phone for contacts and notes. I recently downloaded the Blackberry desktop software. It's changed since I last used it. I can't seem to get anything off/on my Blackberry like I used to. It says it wants it to be in mass sotrage mode which it is.

I just want to pull pics off of it, and access the contacts. All I can do is to backup the information. Nothing else.

Please help.

Well, one comment I will make is that you're probably running DM 4.6? Aand you would need to use Roxio on DM.

Roxio is probably the most useless POS in DM and you shouldn't waste your time, try to get the BB to register as a mass storage device and drag and drop from your PC.

As far as a backup goes, let me know if you're using DM 4.6.

Are you sure you installed Desktop Manager with Media Manager? They package it both ways, one with and one without Media Manager, which is what you'd use to move pictures on and off of the device.

You can't access contacts from Desktop Manager. You never could.

Yea, your only option would be to have Desktop Manager sync your contacts with an email app (like Outlook), and then get your contacts through there.
