Default Restrict my Number Using SMS

Please Login to Remove!

I have already selected restrict my identity under phone options, but that does not restrict my number when sending an SMS.

Does anyone know if it is possible to do this?

Thanks in advance.

Geez, that sounded defeating.

What about any third party software that can accomplish this?

He he if there was a third party app I would have told you. Why do you want to send a message to someone without them know who you are?

There are PC based solutions. No BlackBerry.

No, you can't send an anonymous SMS message.

I communicate with people in different municipalities on almost a daily basis for my job in retail real estate. I work for a large company, but sometimes I have to cover my identity when probing for information about competitors coming into our territory. For this, I usually pretend to be someone local, when in fact, I'm not.

If you can help me find some of the PC based options, I would sure appreciate it, assuming you aren't talking about texting from Yahoo or something. I need to be able to do it form my phone.

Thanks.

I understand. I suggest a pre-paid SIM card you just dispose of between your data collection. That would be the only phone based solution.
