Default Question bout phone/web

Please Login to Remove!

My mother in law bought a usb wireless port or whatever 2 surf the net on her labtop. Well the dude from Alltel told her that if she had internet on her phone all shed have 2 do is plug her phone up 2 her labtop and she would be able 2 get online without the usb wireless port...is this true and how do u do it?

If its true there would be no reason 2 be paying 4 a wireless internet bill...when you can use your phone...

It's called tethering. Call your carrier and ask. It's usually much cheaper than wireless broadband via usb or pccard.

Yes, it's called tethering and there is usually an extra monthly charge for it.
