Question Picture File Extensions

Please Login to Remove!

Is there anyway to adjust the file associations in BB 4.0?
I receive screen shots via email from the certain surveillance cameras and it comes either as .jpeg or .jpg. Sometimes, even if the file is .jpg, BB sees it as .jp and won't allow me to open it.
Is there a list that can be modified to add .jp and .jpeg as .jpg files?
I am using a 7280 with the Web Client on a Cingular network.
Thanks,

to my knowledge, no. it reads the mime types associated to the attachments and opens it accordingly.

If that is the case, can the headers be modified after the mail is received and the MIME type modified?
Or, is there some free software which will allow me to view these attachments?
It just seems stupid that I can view .jpg but not .jpeg files.
