Default Best Practices for Converting from BIS to BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all,

I'm a noob who just installed BB Professional Software on our corp Exchange server. I'm using the default IT policy.

We have a handful of executive users with personal Blackberries, using BIS. So we'll now need to activate them on the BES. But they all want to retain their personal email, etc, on their Blackberries.

So my question, is what is the best practices for activating them on BES, while retaining their personal email at the same time?

If they have the Desktop Manager Software installed to use BIS, do I need to reinstall it, or change it to use BES? What about if they use it on a laptop that isn't connected to the corp network when they sync?

Any advice you can give would be much appreciated...I just want to make sure I don't lose any of their personal info when I convert them to BES.

Thanks!
