Red face Service Books and Deleting applications

Please Login to Remove!

I am having problems sending and receiving email with my Blackberry Pearl 8120. I was going to send the Service books but was wondering if having the service books on the device twice causes any conflicts.

Also have tried deleting my facebook application form the application list in Advanced Options and the service book but whenever I turn my phone on or out the battery back in the application is still there.

Can anyone help with either of these issues?

Cheers

You can't have duplicate service books.
When you resend them, they will overwrite the ones that are there. It's perfectly fine to do.

The Facebook app is likely pushed to your device wirelessly by your carrier. Not much you can do about that. Just hide the icon and forget it's there.

Resending the service books overwrites the existing ones on the device. You won't get two service books for the same thing on your blackberry.

Have you tried removing facebook with the desktop manager?

Clear out the service book database using Backup/Restore - Advanced.

Resend service books.

If fails.. security wipe and restore your backup file with only essential databases (address, content store, hotlist, keystore, etc).. no service book / rms / handheld agent or messages database)

Oddly enough.. some themes have been known to interfere with service book operations. Change your theme maybe.

Post Regarding service books

Hi There ,

Probably you would have to delete the service books then you can push them from BES or retrieve them from the Proider. If this does not work then you can do a soft reset i.e would be activating the device with the enterprise activation password. and if at all nothing goes right then you would have to back the data from the device and go for a wipe process.

Thanks
