Default How do I transfer my address book from the device to my sim card?

I have looked in the frequently asked questions and can see how to do it vice versa - i.e. from sim to device, but I am changing from a Pearl to a Bold, and all my contacts are stored on the Pearl device and not the sim, so I need to transfer them to the sim.

There's no need to do this.
Just use the 'switch device wizard' in Dekstop Manager once you get your Bold.

Or backup/restore...

Or sync to Outlook...

Copying to SIM is probably the worst way you can transfer the contact info over to a new device.

And by worst, think "1 by 1 by 1......" because you cannot move them en masse.

In addition to the comments above make sure you're regularly syncing to a PC and/or backing up. Don't count on having your contacts stored on the BB only (I'm assuming that this is important data that you want to keep).

Thanks everyone, I've only used the Blackberry Desktop Manager to put music on the phone, I haven't looked at it for other purposes, I have just looked and can see the methods you describe.
