Default Disaster Recovery

When using the dialtone mailbox disaster recovery scenario where the original Exchange mailbox server crashes and you change the HomeMDB attribute on a user's active directory account so they will have access to a empty mailbox it is necessary to perform a Blackberry enterprise activation in order to re-establish service to the person's handheld device. Does anyone know if there is another way to do this that does not require the EA? Will handlecleanup.exe re-initialize the mailbox?

No idea, but you might want to ask a mod to move this to the BES Admin forum.... Might get some hits there.
