Default Contact Info?

Please Login to Remove!

My dad just purchased the blackberry bold. He uses it for work and thus wants to have all their information (addresses etc. etc.) programmed into his address book.

Is there an easier way to do this rather than doing it on the phone itself manually entering the information?

By that I mean, is there a program that he can download to type the information and then sync it up to his phone?

Thanks for your help.

That's a bad idea.
Assuming he's on a corporate BES, then he should be able to take advantage of the Lookup feature in the Address Book.

It will allow him to Lookup company contact info for anyone in the company address book.

It's his own personal business so he isn't on a BES.

In that case, just use Microsoft Outlook.
Enter or import all of the contact info there, and then sync it to the BlackBerry.

Yes, it's a very common email client/PIM used by many PC users.
Included with Microsoft Office.

Half of the equation - fivelitre, there was a CD with the Bold. On it is a program called "Desktop Manager", or DM. DM allows you to sync, via the included USB cable, the calendar, contacts, notes and tasks from one of several e-mail clients, the most popular of which is Outlook.

Ok..

I'm having issues now :(

I told DM to sync from my device TO Outlook.. and yet when I'm in outlook, I'm not able to find any information. Am I doing something wrong?

How do I get the information from my phone onto outlook in order to edit it.
