Default Stand-alone battery charger?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi. I have a Curve 8310 and I just picked up an extra battery for it.

I'm looking for recommendations for a stand-alone battery charger, so I don't have to charge it in the Curve itself. My goal is to have a charged battery standing by (I live in hurricane country, you know how that goes....).

Can anyone recommend what you are using to charge batteries outside your Blackberry unit? Maybe something that's not too bulky to pack?

thanks for any and all input!

I picked up one on eBay for cheap. It uses a USB cord and plugs into my laptop and works great... There are some listed there now... It works on 8310's and 8800 batteries. I have the older charger for the 7290 and 7520 also.
And speaking of hurricane country, I also have a car charger and like you know, is important in hurricane country... It saved me during the 04 05 season. 6 days without power but my phone was at least working once the towers were back on. The last thing I had running when Wilma hit was my bb as I watched the eye going over south fla on a loop.

You could also consider getting one of those charging units that use regular batteries and can attach to your phone via USB connection...they've saved me when evacuating due to fires in the past.
