Angry Using my 7520 Blackberry as Boostberry

If anyone knows why I can not place calls to the numbers I've added to the address book, please let me know the secret. I can dial the # directly and the call will go through, but if I select someone from the address book, the call is incomplete as dialed. HELP?????

Wirelessly posted

Hmm a quick look at a few numbers in my address book shows I have area codes in the numbers. Including local numbers. I don't know I'd that's the secret but its worth a try

Sounds like you need to include "1" with area code and number. Open the phone app with the call button and go to Options. Check your settings under Smart Dialing.

I suggest to everyone to setup your address book for calls from any location in the world. Mine are all:

+ (Country Code) (Area Code) (Phone Number)

So a U.S. number is listed as +1-415-555-8723

For the U.K. +44-392-55555

This way you never have a dialing problem from the address book.
