Audio files found only in custom phone tunes, not music app

Default Audio files found only in custom phone tunes, not music app

I recently downloaded some audio files (mp3 and wav) thru the USB to my BB. They never showed up in the music app, but they did show up when I went in thru the address book to set custom phone tunes....these are full MP3 files, not just ringtones. I've never had this problem before. Help! Thanks ~Bk
