Default New to BB question!

Please Login to Remove!

Seriously new! Like a few days new! So keep that in mind when you read this question, cuz I'm BB dumb yet:

What do the flying D's mean?

Like little flying data bits, is all I can come up with!

Just wondering... and feeding the addiction.

Welcome to the forums! I am presuming that you are speaking of the ones in the message folder? If so, they are confirming that a message has been "D"elivered and with change to "R"ead after the message is read.

oh my , and all this time I've been calling it the "multi-function menu left of trackball blackberry seeded flying D's" key.

Yours is much more concise and will save miles on my finger tips.

This is why sales people need to give better demos when they sell phones. I am glad you found help here but really you should have never been able to leave the store without them showing you at least the basics of the phone. I worked with people that never gave demos and almost every time they sold a BB the people wanted to return it until I would give them a quick 5 minute demo. Freakin lazy sales people...Ok I feel better now...

Oh no, no problem with the sales people, I knew what the menu button was for, just didn't know what the logo meant!

I have a local Alltel store and the guys there are great. They really pumped up this phone, showed me a bunch of stuff and let me play with one for a while.

They were certain I would be happy with it, but I just had to buy the HTC Touch (Apple fan, but lousy gsm reception here, so I wanted to try the 'other' touch phone). I had the Touch for less than 24 hours and got the biggest headache ever.

I walked back in there and they busted out laughing and went right back and got me the Curve! THEY WERE RIGHT!

Glad to hear that they treated you right. My point still stands though you have no idea how many times people wnat to return a phone just because they don't know how to use it.

BlackBerry seeds, eh? I did not know that. Flying D's is more poetic.
