Default MemoPad

Please Login to Remove!

I did not get a complete/final response in the "8800 Forum" so I'll try again. ! I already synch with Outlook and do exchange contacts and calendar data between my Blackberry and Outlook...but HOW exactly do I backup and save the various MemoPad items to Outlook? Please, what are the specific steps in "Desktop Manager" (I presume) to accomplish this?? Thanks in advance!

When you perform a full backup of your device, the memo pad items are backed up as well. If you need to restore just the memo pad (or any other single application), you would use the Advanced Restore option.

It sounds like you can't see "NOTES" in Outlook. Can you see "Notes"?

Not for my end users. It would have to be larger, red, and flashing.

Every now and then I come up with one. But you know what they say -- even a blind pig will find an acorn if it's allowed to root around in the forest for a long enough period of time!

Look at your sync settings in Desktop Manager. Make sure memo pad is checked and that you are syncing with Outlook. This assumes you are using a cable to sync.

If you're on BES there may be a way to sync wirelessly but I don't use Outlook so I don't know. We use Notes here and I sync wirelessly but I have to initiate the sync manually from Notes.

Default No "Notes"

Holden, actually, thanks for the arrow..because I do not see the "Notes" folder/icon in Outlook! I looked at the version number, and it is Outlook v. 2002 (10.6838.6845) SP3. Am I missing something in Outlook?

I did miss it - Sorry - RTFM

I am wondering if it is the Outlook 2002?? I looked at some documentation and can't seem to see where it keeps memo pad? Anyone? (it's been awhile since I have seen Outlook 2002)

H.

If the OP pulls up his list of Personal Folders, it should be one of those listed in that group.

Default Fixed!

Your suggestions were right on point, thank you! In Outlook I found a link for the memos in "toolbars", and added the memo icon button. I also went back and reconfigured the Desktop software to include the memos...I don't know how, but somehow it became inactive. Bottom-line, the synch works like a charm now, and everything downloads as it should into Outlook! Thanks again everybody!!
